Whether you're due for your annual cervical screening, concerned about hormonal changes, or looking for a comprehensive health check, our specialists work together to give you answers, reassurance, and a clear path forward — often within a single visit.

"Early detection and preventive care are the most powerful tools a woman has. We make both accessible."

Screening Programmes

Our Core Screening
Services for Women

Regular screening is the single most effective way to detect conditions early, when they are most treatable. Our programmes follow the latest UAE Ministry of Health and international guidelines.

Cervical Screening

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when caught early. Our cervical screening programme combines the traditional Pap smear with HPV co-testing for the most comprehensive picture of your cervical health.

  • Pap smear (liquid-based cytology)
  • High-risk HPV DNA co-testing
  • Colposcopy referral co-ordination if needed
  • Result interpretation & follow-up plan
  • Vaccination counselling (Gardasil 9)
Every 3 years (21–65) or 5 years with HPV co-test

Breast Screening

Our one-stop breast assessment clinic offers 3D digital mammography, targeted ultrasound, and specialist radiologist reporting — delivering results and peace of mind during a single appointment.

  • 3D Digital Tomosynthesis Mammography
  • Breast Ultrasound (bilateral)
  • Clinical breast examination
  • BIRADS categorisation & reporting
  • Biopsy guidance & specialist referral
  • Dense breast assessment
Annually from age 40 (or earlier with family history)

Hormone Screening

Hormonal imbalances can affect every aspect of wellbeing — from energy and mood to weight, skin, fertility, and sleep. Our comprehensive hormone panel identifies imbalances precisely so treatment is targeted and effective.

  • Full thyroid panel (TSH, T3, T4, anti-TPO)
  • Reproductive hormones (FSH, LH, oestradiol, progesterone)
  • Testosterone & DHEA-S
  • Prolactin & AMH (ovarian reserve)
  • Cortisol (adrenal function)
  • Insulin & HbA1c (metabolic hormones)
Annually or when symptoms present

Women's Executive Health Check

A comprehensive one-visit wellness assessment covering 60+ health parameters — tailored for women who want a complete picture of their health without spending multiple days at different clinics.

  • Full blood count & metabolic panel
  • Lipid profile & cardiovascular risk markers
  • Thyroid, liver & kidney function
  • Vitamin D, B12, iron studies & ferritin
  • Cancer markers (CA-125, CA 15-3)
  • Urinalysis & blood pressure
  • BMI & body composition analysis
  • Physician consultation & action plan
Recommended annually

Bone Density (DEXA Scan)

Osteoporosis affects 1 in 3 women after menopause, yet remains largely silent until a fracture occurs. A DEXA scan provides a precise measurement of bone mineral density, allowing early intervention before fractures happen.

  • DEXA bone mineral density scan
  • T-score & Z-score reporting
  • Fracture risk (FRAX) calculation
  • Calcium & Vitamin D level assessment
  • Lifestyle and supplement guidance
From age 50 or at menopause onset

Reproductive & Sexual Health

Confidential, non-judgmental testing for reproductive and sexual health — essential for women at every life stage, regardless of symptoms. Results are managed with complete discretion by our specialist team.

  • STI screening panel (discreet & confidential)
  • Pelvic ultrasound (ovaries, uterus, fibroids)
  • Anti-Müllerian Hormone (ovarian reserve)
  • Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) assessment
  • Endometriosis evaluation & referral
  • Preconception health assessment
On request or annually for sexually active women

Hormone Health

Understanding Your
Hormones

Hormones regulate almost every function in a woman's body. Even slight imbalances can cause symptoms that significantly affect quality of life. Our specialists assess, diagnose, and treat the full hormonal picture.

Oestrogen & Progesterone

These key reproductive hormones regulate the menstrual cycle, support pregnancy, and protect bone and cardiovascular health. Imbalances cause irregular periods, PMS, fertility issues, and menopausal symptoms. We measure and optimise both.

Thyroid Hormones (TSH, T3, T4)

The thyroid controls metabolism, energy, weight, hair, and mood. Women are 5–8× more likely than men to develop thyroid conditions. Our comprehensive thyroid panel — including antibody testing — catches subclinical issues that standard tests miss.

Cortisol & Adrenal Function

Chronic stress elevates cortisol, disrupting sleep, weight, immunity, and reproductive hormones. Our adrenal function assessment identifies HPA axis dysfunction and guides evidence-based lifestyle, nutritional, and medical interventions.

Insulin & Metabolic Hormones

Insulin resistance is a root cause of PCOS, weight gain, and increased diabetes risk in women. We test fasting insulin alongside blood glucose and HbA1c to identify metabolic dysfunction early — before it becomes a chronic condition.

Testosterone & DHEA in Women

Often overlooked in women's health, testosterone and DHEA affect libido, energy, muscle tone, and cognitive clarity. Our specialists assess androgen levels and address both deficiency and excess (as seen in PCOS) with targeted treatment plans.

"Hormone health is the foundation of a woman's energy, mood, fertility, and long-term wellbeing."

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What age should I start cervical screening?
Cervical screening (Pap smear) is recommended from age 21. From age 30, HPV co-testing is added for a more complete result. Screening is recommended every 3 years with cytology alone, or every 5 years with an HPV co-test. Women with abnormal results may require more frequent screening.
Is a mammogram painful?
Most women experience mild pressure or slight discomfort during a mammogram, but it is not painful. Our 3D digital tomosynthesis equipment is modern, fast, and designed to minimise discomfort. Each scan takes only a few seconds. You may wish to avoid the week before your period when breasts can be more sensitive.
What symptoms suggest I have a hormonal imbalance?
Common signs include irregular periods, unexplained weight gain or loss, persistent fatigue, hair thinning, acne, mood changes, brain fog, low libido, and sleep disturbances. However, many hormonal imbalances are subtle. A comprehensive hormone panel is the most reliable way to identify imbalances accurately.
At what age should I start worrying about osteoporosis?
Bone loss accelerates significantly at menopause due to falling oestrogen levels. We recommend a baseline DEXA bone density scan around age 50 or at the onset of menopause. Women with risk factors — family history, low body weight, smoking, or prolonged steroid use — may benefit from earlier screening.
Can I get all my women's health tests in one visit?
Yes. Our one-visit women's health assessment is designed to combine blood tests, imaging (mammogram, ultrasound), and a specialist physician consultation in a single appointment. Results are reviewed by a doctor who will explain your findings and create a personalised health action plan on the day.
Do you offer consultations for menopause symptoms?
Absolutely. We offer comprehensive menopause consultations that assess your symptoms, hormone levels, cardiovascular and bone health risks, and personal preferences. Our specialists discuss all management options — including HRT, non-hormonal therapies, lifestyle strategies, and nutritional support — to find the best approach for you.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes, completely. All patient information at Allied Medical Center is protected under strict confidentiality protocols in compliance with UAE data protection regulations and DHA standards. Your results and health records are never shared without your explicit consent.
Do you accept health insurance for women's health services?
We accept a wide range of UAE health insurance plans. Coverage varies depending on your provider and plan. We recommend contacting our reception team before your appointment — they will verify your coverage and advise on any out-of-pocket costs for specific tests or consultations.
